Cornerstone Automation Systems has broken ground on its new, 190,540 square foot global headquarters in the Cobb Business Park.

The new building for the pharmacy automation system manufacturing and distribution company will double its office space and also allow for an additional 60 jobs in Frisco.

According to a company release, in 2013 CASI experienced tremendous growth, doubling its workforce and beginning to service clients worldwide. The company is currently leasing 86,000 square feet of office and warehouse space on Home Road, which is less than a mile from the new headquarters site.

The two-story building, being developed by Warrior Creek Realty LLC, will include office and warehouse space, with 21,000 square feet of the total space available for lease through Hudson Peters Commercial.

With the explosive growth CASI experienced in 2013 we look forward to moving into our new Frisco headquarters which will allow for continued expansion for years to come."

Frisco Economic Development Corp. President Jim Gandy said the city is "thrilled" the company is choosing to stay in Frisco.

"The expansion of CASI's North American corporate headquarters in this new facility will add 60 new jobs to Frisco over the next five years," Gandy said. "These highly-technical engineering jobs will be a great fit for the city's skilled workforce."
