The Roots Bar has bought eSpiritu Fine Wine, Ale & Spirits and is expected to hold a grand opening Feb. 12.

eSpiritu's last day to be open will be Saturday, Jan. 30.

The Roots is a new concept from Frisco residents Steven and Megan Turner. The couple lives in Frisco Square just down the street from the bar's future location at 6142 Frisco Square Blvd.

Steven said he wants to revamp the location to be a modern and comfortable setting for patrons.

"Imagine Andy Warhol mixed with an antique shop," he said.

The Turners plan to have hand-scraped hardwood floors throughout the bar and feature a lot of artwork, including a hand-painted mural. The bar will also continue to host live music, Steven said.

"The biggest piece of that entire endeavor is our attention to customer service and detail," Steven said. "...We just want to make sure everybody's having a good time, that there's a positive experience from everybody's perspective."

The grand opening will include giveaways, live music and a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Frisco Chamber of Commerce.
