Healthgrades recognizes Medical City Denton, 10 area hospitals for specialty care

Eleven Medical City hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth region recently achieved distinction for exceptional clinical performance in specialty care from Healthgrades, according to a news release.

The hospitals were recognized with dozens of awards, including for cardiac, critical care, gastrointestinal care, orthopedics, pulmonary, surgical and vascular care, the news release states.

The 2026 Specialty Excellence Awards place these hospitals among the top 10% nationwide for specialty services.

Each year, Healthgrades evaluates risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for over 30 common conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide to identify the top hospitals in key specialty areas, per the news release.

Medical City Denton was recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals for Vascular Surgery and one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery. Medical City McKinney and Medical City Plano were recognized for surgical care, joint replacement and orthopedic surgery. Medical City Plano was also recognized for gastrointestinal care and surgery.

Medical City Alliance was recognized for orthopedic and spine surgery.
