From Bunco games to coffee with a mayor, residents will find plenty to do in December and early January in Flower Mound, Highland Village and Argyle.

Santa Routes

Highland Village residents can catch Santa Claus riding through their neighborhoods on a fire engine this December. His location and route can be followed by bookmarking the Santa Tracker here.Frozen River Run

Those brave enough to face frigid water temperatures can test themselves in a swim course in the Community Activity Center’s outdoor river and pool. The first 50 participants that complete the course will receive a congratulatory T-shirt. Those wishing to stay warm can cheer swimmers on while enjoying hot cocoa and treats. A parent or guardian must accompany those age 17 and under. Registration is not required.Bunco


The city of Flower Mound is hosting Bunco as one of its senior center programs this December. Players must pay $2 to the captain the day of the game, and prizes will not exceed $10. Enrollment ends Dec. 19.Starry Night for Kids

Flower Mound, Highland Village and Argyle residents can head to Denton to attend a guided painting session of Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night. The event is family friendly and suitable for children age 5 and older. Attendees will be able to take home their paintings after the event.January

Community Activity Center Open House

The Flower Mound Parks and Recreation Department is hosting an open house at the Community Activity Center for residents to discover all the programs, activities and fitness resources it has to offer. The event includes free fitness classes in Studio 61 as well as drinks, snacks and giveaways.Coffee with the Mayor


For the first Monday of each month, the city of Highland Village organizes a meet and greet with Mayor Daniel Jaworski. Attendees can partake in casual conversation with the mayor on topics of interest to the community.
