As of Jan. 9 Lewisville ISD administration requires online registration for individuals who want to address the board of trustees during the public comment portion of regular board meetings, according to its website.

The details

Registration will open when the meeting agenda is posted, which is typically 72 hours prior to the meeting, and will close at 1 p.m. meeting day. This process is required for addressing members at all LSID board meetings and on-site registration is no longer available. If someone lacks the technology necessary to complete the online submission form, they can call the LISD Administrative Center or complete the form in-person at the center. All submissions must be made within the registration time period for each meeting.

Requiring participants to register ahead of time gives the individuals and LISD staff an opportunity to seek a resolution prior to the board meeting, according to the district.
