Coppell's population in 2018 was 41,512, according to 5-year estimates provided by the bureau. That's a 0.9% increase over the 2017 population.
Irving's population growth was slightly higher at a 1.3% increase. The 2018 population was 238,637, according to the bureau.
The U.S. Census Bureau released the latest American Community Survey 5-year estimates for 2014-18 on Dec. 19.
According to the U.S. Census, the annual data release “helps local officials, community leaders, and businesses understand the changes taking place in their communities."
