There are plenty of events taking place in Frisco this weekend from a storytelling festival to a performance by Theatre Frisco.

1. Listen to stories at annual storytelling festival
This annual event will feature stories with humor and told by nationally-renowned artists for two days at Frisco City Hall. Lone Star Storytellers Kevin Kling and Don White will be telling their favorite stories.

2. Theatre Frisco presents “Crimes of the Heart”
Theatre Frisco presents a Pulitzer Prize-winning play that takes place in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, where the three Magrath sisters have gathered to await news of the family patriarch, their grandfather, who is living out his last hours in the local hospital. Lenny, the oldest sister, is unmarried at 30 and facing diminishing marital prospects; Meg, the middle sister, who quickly outgrew Hazlehurst, is back after a failed singing career on the West Coast; while Babe, the youngest, is out on bail after having shot her husband in the stomach. This weekend will be the last performances of this play by Theatre Frisco.

3. 2017 Aga Khan Foundation Walk|Run — Dallas
Aga Khan Foundation National Walk|Run is a public event to raise funds and educate people about global poverty. The event will include a 5K for ages 12 and up, a 1K Trick or Trot fun run and a Walk the Walk for all ages. There will also be family-friendly activities, field games, food and musical performances.

4. Shop fresh fruits and vegetables at Frisco Rotary Farmers Market
The farmers market returns this weekend. Local growers and vendors sell their fresh fruits and vegetables as well as pasture-fed beef, pork, lamb and eggs. Other food items include pasta, nuts and honey.

5. Explore the night sky at Frisco Starfest
The Texas Astronomical Society hosts its monthly Frisco Starfest at Frisco Commons Park. This event brings guests together to observe and educate others about the night sky.

6. Halloween comes to Frisco Heritage Center
The theme for the Frisco Heritage Center’s open house this Sunday is Halloween. Guests can participate in mini pumpkin decorating, tours of the Heritage Center buildings and Blacksmithing demonstrations.
