Another mosquito pool has tested positive for the West Nile virus in the Frisco Lakes community, located at FM 423 and Stonebrook Parkway.

This is the second positive pool confirmed in Frisco Lakes this year.

No human cases of the virus have been reported so far.

On Friday, city staff will apply larvicide where stagnant water is present on city-owned property within Frisco Lakes.

The city is in communication with the Frisco Lakes community and will continue to monitor the area.

The city began testing for mosquitoes on May 1.
