Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission called two public hearings to discuss a possible industrial park at the southwest corner of Rockhill Parkway and Preston Road. The public hearings are expected to occur sometime in February. The first public hearing is a request to rezone 181 acres from planned development to industrial. The second public hearing is a request to amend the city’s future land use plan to allow 258 acres to be an industrial park. A public hearing has been called to request rezoning of the property from single family to industrial at the southeast corner of Rockhill Parkway and Preston Road. The property is south of Frisco Park 25, a planned 216-acre industrial park at the northwest corner of Rockhill Parkway and Preston Road. Frisco Economic Development Corp. owns the property. The planned industrial park is marketed toward regional and corporate headquarters as well as manufacturing and distribution space.
