Frisco City Council approved a retail development agreement that would continue the process of bringing a Wal-Mart Supercenter to the southeast corner of FM 423 and US 380.
According to the agreement, the city of Frisco will offer an economic development grant to the developer if they meet certain requirements such as increasing employment, expanding commerce and stimulating business.
The developer is expected to construct a 180,000 square-foot Wal-Mart Supercenter store and multiple pad sites. The entire development includes fast-food restaurants and other retail establishments.
The project was first announced last summer but no work has started on the property. There are three existing Wal-Mart Supercenters in Frisco.
