Marty Wieder is leaving the city of Colleyville to accept a new position in Grand Prairie.[/caption]

Colleyville Economic Director Marty Wieder has accepted a position with the city of Grand Prairie.

Wieder has been with the city since 2009 and is responsible for helping facilitate deals to bring Whole Foods Market, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Petco and Zoe's Kitchen.

Wieder was recruited by Colleyville City Manager Jennifer Fadden, who credited him with much of the city's economic development success during the past few years.

“Marty has laid down a solid foundation for bringing attractive dining and retail options to Colleyville, as well as medical and office development," she said in a news release. "We’ll continue to build on that foundation as we move forward. We are grateful for the professionalism and expertise he brought to the job and the benefits it has provided to us. We wish him well."
