Collin College tuition to increase this fallCollin College students will see an increase to their tuition beginning in fall 2016.

The Collin College board of trustees approved the increase during the Feb. 23 board meeting. There will be an increase of $3 per credit hour for in-district students and a $5 increase per credit hour for out-of-county and out-of-state/out-of-country students.

Collin College President Neil Matkin said the increase in tuition is expected to generate nearly $2 million in additional revenue during fiscal year 2016-17.

The additional revenue will help the college to expand workforce programs and support the additional student services planned as part of the quality enhancement plan required for the regional Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accreditation.
