Charles Hodges of Hodges Architecture presented the preliminary plans for Frisco Crossing to the commissioners. “We’ve been working with city staff for a couple of years now and we’ve been waiting for the comprehensive plan and its changes to finally present this,” Hodges said during the work session. Hodges said the plans are preliminary, and said the developers are still waiting to hear back from major anchor stores for the development. Hodges said he was excited about a potential cinema and grill entertainment venue as well as a food truck park. The property is bordered to the west by a flood plain, which Hodges said is an asset for more green space. “We have a very large water course that meanders through the project, which we see as a tremendous possibility for a great asset of open space,” Hodges said. Frisco Crossing will be across from the new Wal-Mart Supercenter development on the southeast corner of FM 423 and US 380. On that same corner, there will also be a Taco Bell, Starbucks, Raising Cane’s, Chik-fil-A and Whataburger.
