The property, located on the northwest corner of Independence Parkway and Main Street, is part of a 3,300-acre ranch that is one of the largest undeveloped plots of land left in Frisco and is owned by Baxter Brinkmann. The 171-acres of land will now be developed for a single-family and patio home development and will include retail.

The residential development is expected to be a gated community with a maximum of 520 homes.

Commissioners were in favor of the development but did express a few concerns regarding traffic and parking. Commissioners also said they appreciated the open space provided for residents.
