Colleyville is participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration's National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Sept. 26, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m at Market Street, 5605 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville.
This is an opportunity for those who may have unwanted, unused prescription drugs to safely dispose of those medications. The program is free and open to the public.
DEA began hosting National Prescription Drug Take-Back events in 2010.
At the previous nine Take-Back Day events, 4,823,251 pounds (2,411 tons) of unwanted, unneeded or expired medications were surrendered for safe and proper disposal.
The disposal service is free and anonymous for consumers, with no questions asked. Collection sites and information for every local community can be found by going to
