Construction of a 104,000-square-foot public safety building in Grapevine began this summer.
Residents voted in favor of a new public safety building in 2013 as a part of the $68 million bond proposal package which also included the funding of The REC.
The new facility will be located on Dallas Road, east of Target, and will be home to the Grapevine Police Department, municipal court, Grapevine Fire Department administration, information technology department and logistics.
This multi-level facility includes three different buildings on one campus. The new Public Safety Building is scheduled to open in the Spring of 2017.
