Frisco residents are being asked to participate in planning the city's future beginning with a community open house from 6–9 p.m. April 10 at Frisco ISD's Career & Technology Education center, 9889 Wade Blvd.
The open house is come and go. There will be stations with information about different aspects of Frisco's future, that have activities to give participants the opportunity to share their ideas.
At 7 p.m., there will be a brief presentation to explain the city's plan objectives, about the plan update process and what research is being conducted. The stations will open again after the presentation.
The meeting is part of the process to update the city's 2006 comprehensive master plan.
The plan will address issues including:
- Transitioning from a growing city to a place with aging neighborhoods and an aging population
- Planning for differing housing types and sizes
- Public transit
- Water conservation
