The Dallas Cowboys multi-use events facility took another step forward this week with several agreements approved by the Frisco City Council.
The Council agreed to engineering services to design and prepare documents for sanitary sewer and mass grading on the northwest corner of Warren Parkway and Dallas Parkway.
Another approved contract gave the go-ahead for the design of roadways for the area.
The April 1 decisions came on the heels of the release of a new rendering of the facility at a meeting between city of Frisco officials, Dallas Cowboys officials and other parties involved.
The new rendering is of what is being called Cowboys Alley, the area that would lead into the stadium.
Mayor Maher Maso cautioned residents that although there are photos and video of the new rendering are circulating, it is an ongoing process and the design may change.
"We are looking for input from the residents," Maso said. "I know Council is very involved in this, it's important to them, so they will continue weighing in and this process will continue to evolve. But we encourage people with comments to send them to us."
Councilman Will Sowell said he wants to continue the dialogue between all parties involved.
"I do hope as we move forward we will find some governance mechanism to make sure we all stay in the loop so we can avoid any bumps in the road as we move forward on what is obviously a very exciting project for all of us," Sowell said.
The multi-use event facility is expected to be complete by late 2016.
