Fannie Mae, a government created company that moderates mortgage availability in the housing market, is consolidating its three Dallas offices into one at Granite Park Seven, which will be located at 5700 Granite Parkway in Plano.
Construction for the multi-tenant building at the 90-acre mixed-use office park located at the Dallas North Tollway and SH 121 will begin in mid-2016, said Greg Fuller, Granite Properties chief operating officer. Fannie Mae employees will move in by the end of 2017.
Currently the three offices in Dallas house half of Federal National Mortgage Association outside of its headquarters in Washington, D.C.
“We are consolidating our team so that they can work more closely together,” said Andrew Wilson, Fannie Mae spokesperson.
Wilson said the company is looking for about 300,000 square feet of space. The organization works to provide mortgage services, helping prevent foreclosures and manage properties after a foreclosure.
Having all members of the company working out of one office will help improve the efficiency of employees and reduce costs, Wilson said.
In March, Granite Properties announced it was building three Class AA 20-story office towers in Granite Park. Fuller said leasing rates in Granite Park Seven range from $23-$30 per square foot. For more information, visit
