2017 Draft Day Party at The Star

The Dallas Cowboys are hosting three days of 2017 NFL Draft parties at The Star in Frisco. The first day began Thursday and parties will continue today and tomorrow. Today’s festivities resume at 5 p.m. on the plaza in front of The Ford Center. Dallas Cowboys radio sportscaster Brad Sham will host a roundtable with the team’s 2017 first round pick and other Cowboy players. On Saturday, doors open at 10:30 a.m. Cowboy players will be available for autographs and there will be family-friendly activities. Frisco Fine Art presents 'The 10'
The Frisco Fine Art gallery will feature in exhibit that features artwork from 10 artists from North Texas. Artwork includes modern paintings and collectible art. Artists include:

Draft Day 5K
The inaugural Dallas Cowboys Draft Day 5K will kick off at The Star in Frisco. There will be pre-race and post-race activities such as games and inflatables, autograph opportunities and more. $25-$55. Pre-race activities begin at 9 a.m. and the 5K begins at 10 a.m. To register click here.

“In Love and War: The World War II Courtship Letters of a Nisei Couple”
As part of the Frisco Heritage Center’s “Saturday at the Museum” lecture series, Melody Miyamoto Walters discusses her book that recounts the wartime experiences of her grandparents, two second-generation Japanese Americans living in Hawaii. The book focuses on their love story which, is narrated in letters they wrote to each other from July 1941 to June 1943. Annual Crawfish & Shrimp Boil
The Frisco Bar will host its annual crawfish boil benefiting The Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County. In addition to crawfish and shrimp, there will also be music, silent and live auctions, and family-friendly activities. Canceled events due to inclement weather


World’s Largest Dog Day at Dr Pepper Ballpark
This event has been rescheduled to May 7 from noon-4 p.m at Dr Pepper Ballpark. Law of Attraction Brothers are hosting this event to bring together a large number of dog owners and their dogs for an adventure-filled day. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection. $15 (regular admission), $17 (late admission), $20 (at the door). For more details on the event click here.

Global Village Frisco- a Multicultural Festival
This event had been rescheduled to September 9 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m at Frisco Square. All sponsors will remain the same and all vendor booths will maintain their spot. Medical City Frisco Expanded Emergency Department Family Celebration
