Registration is ongoing for the Nov. 8 Frisco Community Parade with its "Wild, Wild West" theme.
Frisco resident and World War II veteran Bob Smith is serving as grand marshal for the parade, which is held to observe Veterans Day and celebrate community spirit.
The parade, which features floats, school marching bands, football teams, cheerleaders, scouts, civic organizations, youth sports teams, Frisco-based professional sports teams and local businesses, begins at 10 a.m. The parade travels east on Main Street from the southeast corner of Toyota Stadium through downtown Frisco.
Entry fees are $150 for nonprofit organizations and $250 for businesses. Checks, payable to Frisco Community Parade, need to be dropped off at the city's communications department at Frisco City Hall, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd. or paid online at www.friscotexas.gov/parade.
