The ESD 9 commissioners will discuss a variety of contracts, gear purchases and other investments, including:

• A maintenance and support contract for the district’s Public Safety Radio System
• New rescue and bunker gear
• Several pending invoices from law firm Denton Navarro for legal services obtained in summer 2025
• An annual public relations coaching agreement with PR firm DeHart & Company
• Adoption of the district’s 2026 investment policy

The agenda also includes a standing item regarding an ongoing investigation of alleged misconduct by Commissioner Rob Paiva, as previously reported by Community Impact.

The board voted Oct. 20 to file a complaint with the Harris County district attorney’s office, and commissioners said they will update the community about the status of the investigation as more information becomes available.
