Local coffee shop expands menu offerings

Plum Coffee opened in early August. Owner Mia Jamal said she wanted to create a place that would facilitate good conversation and allow people to sit and enjoy their refreshments or stop in for a quick cup. In recent months, Jamal's business has taken root with dozens of regular customers and an expanding menu.

"We try and model ourselves after other coffee shops, so if they have it, we have it," Jamal said, who has fresh baked goods delivered daily from local vendors.

The retro-themed coffee shop also now offers several panini options.
