A new stand-alone Chick-fil-A restaurant is expected to open in Northwest Houston June 6, bringing with it more than 75 new jobs and the increasingly popular "First 100" event—a 10-year-old program offering free food for a year to the first 100 adults in line.
Glen Thigpen—the owner of the new location—said he is excited to move back to his hometown of Houston and serve area residents.
"Our focus on freshly prepared food and personal customer service is as central to our new restaurant as it was the day Truett [Cathy] opened his first Chick-fil-A location," Thigpen said. "That commitment continues for me and my team members at our new Beltway 8 and West Road location, where we can't wait to serve our guests."
