Update: This post was updated Friday, May 25, with information about a new clear bag policy and a list of prohibited items.  Cy-Fair ISD graduates thousands of students each year with a series of commencement ceremonies at the Berry Center, 8877 Barker Cypress Road, Cypress. Tickets are required, and attendees may not reserve seats. Each ceremony will last about 1 hour and 40 minutes, and guests may arrive up to one hour before ceremonies begin. Parking is free, and guests can enter the facility at Entrance 2 or 3. Wheelchairs and wheelchair seating will be available, and interpreters will be available for the hearing impaired in Section 107. To increase safety and security, the Berry Center has instituted a clear bag policy for graduation events May 30-June 2. Guests may carry clear tote bags or one-gallon resealable plastic storage bags. Small clutch bags will also be permitted, and an express "no bag" line will be available for visitors who do not carry bags. Outside food other than bottled water is prohibited, but concessions will be available on-site. Cameras are permitted, but tripods, lights, shades and other professional photography equipment are not. Other prohibited items include balloons, gifts, flowers, strollers, signs, banners, noisemakers and airhorns. Each graduation will be streamed live and posted online following the ceremony at www.berrycenter.net/graduation. The Berry Center is no longer selling DVDs of the ceremonies.
