Conroe ISD will hold its regular monthly board of trustees meeting on Oct. 20. At the meeting, the board will review agenda items concerning the district's school calendar and improvement plan for 2026-27.
The gist
Two items are on the regular meeting agenda regarding the school district's current and upcoming schedule. The CISD board of trustees will review information regarding development of the 2027-28 school year calendar. It may also begin board action on a school day schedule change.
The CISD board will also consider and vote on the 2026-27 district improvement plan as well as hear an update from the school safety and security committee.
As previously reported, CISD’s State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, or STAAR, scores showed improvements in student performance compared to statewide testing but decreases in certain math and reading scores within the district. Past CISD improvement plans focused on state 'A-F' ratings and STAAR performance scores.
