Harris County has released unofficial early voting totals for five Cy-Fair ISD propositions.
All results are unofficial until canvassed.
What you need to know
Proposition A is a voter-approval tax rate election, or VATRE, proposing a 12-cent increase on the maintenance and operations, or M&O, side of the district’s property tax rate. There are 51,010 unofficial early votes for the VATRE and 103,433 unofficial early votes against it.
A $1.63 billion four-proposition bond referendum for updates throughout the district sits on the ballot as Propositions B-E:
Proposition B: $1.3 billion for critical infrastructure, safety & security and transportation, with 57,127 unofficial early votes for the proposition and 97,442 unofficial early votes against.
Proposition C: $256 million for instructional technology with 55,829 unofficial early votes for the proposition and 97,837 unofficial early votes against.
Proposition D: $60.8 million for existing high school athletic stadiums with 41,447 unofficial early votes for the proposition and 110,998 unofficial early votes against.
Proposition E: $20.1 million for existing pools with 43,423 unofficial early votes for the proposition and 108,406 unofficial early votes against.
Per previous Community Impact reporting, regardless of how the propositions turn out, there is a 3-cent decrease on the debt service side of the district's property tax rate with the proposed total rate sitting at $1.1569 per $100 of home valuation.
If the VATRE is unsuccessful, the CFISD board of trustees will need to adopt a rate of $1.0369 per $100 of home valuation for the 2026 tax year during the Nov. 9 regular board meeting, district officials confirmed.
