Papar Faircloth's story

My name is Papar Faircloth and I'm the General Manager for the Bay Area and Pearland/Friendswood markets in the Houston metro area. I enjoy reading, baking and spending time with my family and pets. I have two beautiful daughters, a dog, a cat and a wonderful husband who puts up with all our shenanigans.

What is one of your strengths and how do you use it at CI?

My No. 1 strength is Relator, which I'm proud of because it serves me well professionally and personally. As a general manager, building relationships both internally and externally is a great asset that my team and community benefit from. I place a high value on integrity and trust, which are at the forefront of any strong relationship and help me harvest the many facets of relationships I build as general manager—with my employees, our sources, our clients and our readers. I've formed some lifelong friendships during my seven years as an Impacter, both at CI and within my community as a result of my Relator strength.

What is your favorite project you worked on while at CI?

We had a reader panel for the Pearland/Friendswood edition that consisted of meeting with readers and sources to ensure we had our finger on the pulse of what our community really wants and needs in their local news source. It was enlightening to hear and encouraging to know we were certainly on the right path. We never tire of hearing how much our readers enjoy the publication, but hearing the conversations that came from the panel let us know we were fulfilling our mission.
