The Cypresswood Drive offices of Harris County Justice of the Peace for Precinct 4, Place 1, will reopen to the public Monday, July 9, Judge Lincoln Goodwin said this week. The building at 6831 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, closed after extensive flooding during Hurricane Harvey. The facility also houses Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman's offices as well as offices for Harris County Sheriff's Office, District 1, each of which has also undergone repairs. Communications personnel and deputies returned to the constable's offices at the building in February. The tax assessor/collector's office previously located in the building will not return to the facility, Goodwin said. That office handled vehicle registration, among other business. Goodwin's offices have been temporarily located at 7900 Will Clayton Parkway, Humble. Hearings will not immediately be held at the Cypresswood Drive facility, Goodwin said. Individuals needing to contact the court should call 713-274-6550 or visit www.jp.hctx.net/4-1 for more information.
