In 2016, Northwest Austin saw 205 business openings, 24 relocations and 17 expansions*. Here are six notable business announcements from the previous year.

1. Flemish Fox Brewery and Craftworks
Development of the brewery continued through last year, and the business is on track to open this spring.

2. Pinballz Lake Creek
Co-owners Darren and Mikki Spohn celebrated the grand opening of their newest and largest arcade Sept. 24.

3. TumblePRO Austin
With the popularity of the classes and programs at TumblePRO Austin, Escobedo and Fowler plan to move into a larger facility in 2017.

4. ZACH Theatre
Classes are underway at the new Northwest Austin location of RM 620 for children ages 3 1/2 through fifth grade in acting, musical theater and improvisation Monday through Thursday after school and on Saturdays.

5. Kelly Personal Training
The Austin location was the second for the company, which started in New Orleans. Owner John Kelly said relocating his business allowed him to not only buy new equipment but also hire additional trainers.

6. Cotone Clothing + Beauty Bar
The owners finished a build-out in late 2016 to offer more beauty services, such as facials and makeup application, and promote co-owners Jentri Quinn's product line, which includes organic and vegan products as well as hypoallergenic items.
