What would your top priorities be if elected?

Completely eliminate property taxes – providing immediate relief for homeowners and renters; stop data center development, unless or until we restore and develop new water, energy capacity and infrastructure for people first; restore trust in our elections; restore fiscal responsibility; increase teacher pay and student investment by reducing administrative spending.

What are the biggest challenges facing District 21?

High cost of living, such as housing, gas and groceries. Property taxes increasing homeowners’ and renters’ housing costs, through a taxation system that voters have repeatedly voiced they do not want. Lack of water and energy security. Public education performance, where students are not proficient in the basics – especially reading.

What projects are most important for District 21 to focus on for the future?

Replace property taxes with a structure that adequately funds necessary services without increasing overall tax burden; restore and build water and energy capacity before any future data center development; require verification of citizenship and residence for voter registration; education reform, reading proficiency and finance; protection of constitutional rights.

What would your top priorities be if elected?

My priorities are education; health and human services; and responsive, effective representation of SD 21 families. I advance these goals by passing critical legislation, securing funding, opposing harmful proposals, and engaging continually with constituents of all ages, advocates, and local leaders to address their needs, interests, and priorities—not mine.
