Leander ISD board election sees 2 contested seats, 1 uncontested race

Six candidates will run among three Leander ISD board of trustees seats in the Nov. 3 election.

Places 3, 4 and 5 are up for election in 2020, and each seat serves a four-year term. The terms for Places 1, 2, 6 and 7 end in 2022. Trustees are elected at-large.

Place 3 trustee Pam Waggoner and Place 4 trustee Grace Barber-Jordan are not seeking re-election. Incumbent Jim MacKay is the sole candidate in the Place 5 race.

Early voting for the Nov. 3 election runs Oct. 13-30. Williamson County has designated 19 early voting locations. Travis County will have 35 early voting locations.
