Leander City Council will appoint a Place 2 council member Oct. 15 to replace Michelle Stephenson, who resigned in September.
Council will consider 11 applicants at the regular meeting. The new council member will be picked following a closed session deliberation. The appointee will serve through the end of the Place 2 term in May.
In a public hearing, each applicant will speak for up to three minutes in opening statements; the public will have the opportunity to comment; and council members can question applicants.
