Cedar Park reopens some park amenities; library, lobbies to reopen with capacity limits May 18

Cedar Park reopened some park amenities May 6 as part of a phased approach to reopen city facilities, according to a May 6 announcement.

City park goers can now use pavilions and some recreation areas in limited capacities. City parks remain open.

Reopened amenities include:

• Pavilions at 25% capacity;
• Basketball courts with up to four players;
• Volleyball courts with up to four players;
• Skate parks with up to four participants; and
• Park restrooms.

Starting May 18, the Cedar Park Public Library will reopen at 25% capacity. Temporary hours are as follows: Mon.-Thu. 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Fri.-Sat. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed Sun. The library will continue its curbside services.

City hall and police department lobbies will also reopen May 18. This includes fire administration and permits and development services areas.

Additional city reopenings are under review, according to the announcement. The city is preparing facilities and staff in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and Gov. Greg Abbott's reopening guidelines.
