Event center uses will now be allowed at Facilities Resource Inc. following a unanimous Cedar Park City Council decision at the Sept. 14 meeting.

Council conducted the first reading for a special-use permit for Facilities Resource that would allow event center use at an August meeting.
Facilities Resource is an office furniture and design business that offers services such as interior design and corporate renovation.
Located at 1641 Scottsdale Crossing, Cedar Park, the business operates out of a 25,000-square-foot facility, which includes a 5,000-square-foot event space.
The request to add event center use to Facilities Resource coheres with “the existing land use pattern and character of the area,” according to city documents.

Facilities Resource Owner Margaret Teinert Ross proposed additional conditions under the special-use permit at the August City Council meeting. The following were Ross’ proposed conditions:
