Excel Fitness, a franchisee for Planet Fitness, plans to renovate seven former Texas Family Fitness locations, while closing four others, as part of a partnership announced Dec. 17. Renovated locations are planned in Coppell, Frisco, Plano and Richardson.

Planet Fitness franchisee acquires 11 Texas Family Fitness locations in North Texas

Seven of the 11 locations will be converted to a Planet Fitness while four others will close, according to a company news release.
