Of the area's six ZIP codes, half decreased and half increased in the number of homes sold in August compared to the same month last year. Overall, fewer homes were sold by a count of 30.

Beyond 150: Texas A&M outlines future research projects, strategic pillars
Texas A&M University President Susan Ballabina outlined A&M's research and student-focused project plans on Sept. 28 as part of “Beyond 150: One University for Good." Ballabina said projects, such as the Aggie research commons, will put public good at the forefront of the university's efforts.

College Station finalizes $11M midtown land sale to Bass Pro, Corinth Group
College Station City Council fully approved the $10.84 million sale of 28 acres in midtown to Bass Pro Shops and the Corinth Group for mixed-use development on Sept. 24.
Bass Pro is expected to bring and incentivize:
$35 million in annual sales, with an estimated $20 million in locally taxable sales
The city will rebate a portion of sales tax generated by the store, starting at 80% and decreasing to 35% over 10 years.
Bass Pro will receive a $3.5 million reimbursement from the city when construction is complete.
The city said the deal with the Corinth Group goes back to January 2025.

Bryan ISD advances designs for collegiate high school, Merrill Green Field House
Bryan ISD trustees approved the latest designs for a new Bryan Collegiate High School and the Merrill Green Field House on Sept. 28, allowing both projects to move into the next phase of planning and design.
Officials from architectural firm PBK said the new school would be organized around a central courtyard, optimizing natural light.
