Bryan-College Station will have a short stint of closures on ‘Big 6’ to begin the week.
'Big 6' is a long-term TxDOT project along Hwy. 6 through Bryan and College Station, aimed at helping the cities deal with growing traffic.
What you need to know
- Aug. 24: Full closure of the southbound mainlanes from Briarcrest Drive to Southwest Parkway, 7:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
- All traffic must use the exit on southbound University Drive and re-enter north of Southwest Parkway. All exit ramps north of Briarcrest Drive, University Drive and Harvey Road will also be closed.
- The northbound left mainlane will also be closed to haul soil from the median.
- Aug. 25: Full closure of the northbound and southbound mainlanes from Southwest Parkway to Briarcrest Drive, 7:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
- Both mainlanes will be closed for dirt work in the center median.
