The College Station Police Department is seeking volunteers willing to let the department use their properties for “controlled SWAT training exercises,” according to an Oct. 20 social media post.
The gist
CSPD officials are hoping local community members or business owners will allow the department to use their properties for the SWAT training sessions, which will not feature live ammunition.
“These training opportunities help our team strengthen operational readiness, prepare for real-world challenges and ensure an effective response to critical incidents,” reads the post.
