On Nov. 9, officials announced the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce named Elitecare Emergency Hospital as Galveston Regional Business of the Year for 2023.

According to a news release, the hospital is involved in community outreach programs and health education initiatives. Additionally, the hospital is a driving force behind the region's economic growth and job creation, according to the release.

The hospital serves residents from Galveston to Beltway 8.
