League City voters have several races and candidates to consider for the Nov. 3 election.
Candidate filing for positions 1, 2, 6, 7 and mayor closed Aug. 17. Filing for position 3 is open until Aug. 20.

In case you missed it
During the November election, voters can also weigh in on whether the League City Police Department should continue to use Flock Safety automated license plate reader cameras, according to previous reporting by Community Impact. However, the election results will be non-binding, meaning City Council retains the authority to determine the city’s policy on Flock cameras, regardless of the referendum results.
Looking ahead
The election will take place Nov. 3 with early voting running from Oct. 19-30, according to the city’s website.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on election day, and from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. for early voting.
