Karma Kolache, which has nine other locations in the Houston area, opened a new location in Magnolia, a spokesperson confirmed. The bakery offers a wide variety of doughnuts, kolaches and beverages.
Dough Zone, a West Coast dumpling house chain, opened in Sugar Land Town Square. The restaurant offers numerous stuffed dumpling varieties, including pan-fried, boiled, steamed and soup dumplings, front of house manager Jaycee Pham said. In addition to dumplings, the eatery also serves noodle dishes, pancake rolls, baos and boba teas, according to the website. This is the third Houston-area location for the restaurant, with the other two in Midtown and Uptown, Pham said. A fourth location on Westheimer Road is set to open at the end of July or early August, she said.
In April, Aromas Bakery & Cafe began serving baked goods from a storefront in Humble. The bakery offers a variety of artisan breads, puff pastries, desserts, cakes and cookies. In addition to the Humble storefront, Aromas Bakery & Cafe sells baked goods at farmers markets across the Greater Houston area.
Nacho Birria specializes in beef birra, beef roasted for 14 hours. The food truck opened in early April and offers a standard menu along with buffet packages for events, according to its website.
3D's Krazy Kitchen officials said the restaurant expanded with a new location in Cypress in May. With two locations in addition to the new Cypress restaurant, 3D's Krazy Kitchen specializes in wings and daiquiris. As a result of the new location's larger kitchen, 3D's Krazy Kitchen is able to offer a larger menu consisting of ribs, pork chops, burgers, gumbo, red beans and rice, loaded boudin balls, fried chicken, loaded Doritos, and wings with 15 flavors. 3D's Krazy Kitchen also offers specialty cocktails and desserts.
Fuya Cafe, an Asian dining concept, opened in Missouri City in early April. The restaurant offers a variety of rice and noodle dishes, as well as entrees with whole duck and chicken tossed in sweet and tangy sauce.
