Smithville city officials broke ground in early January to expand its workforce center.
Two-minute impact
According to a news release, the Smithville Innovation Center will be centered around strengthening the local economy by supporting members of the workforce and business owners.
Some of the resources that will be provided in the new space will include:
- Training programs
- Career development
- Classes to help enhance the skills of trades and technical workers
