Travis County Civil and Family courts will suspend “in-person, non-emergency” hearings until April 13, according to a March emergency order issued by the county.
The emergency order goes into effect March 16 and is a response to the state of disaster issued by Gov. Greg Abbott on March 13.
Nonemergency hearings that were scheduled to take place from March 16-April 13 will be rescheduled at a later date, according to the county.
Court staffing at the Heman Marion Sweatt Travis County Courthouse will be reduced during that period and will be available for emergency matters, according to the county.
