Those interested in elementary education can attend the job fair at the district’s central office from 10-11:30 a.m. Those interested in secondary education can attend from 1-2:30 p.m.

The context
Almost 30 teachers in the district resigned after the 2023-24 school year, according to district documents presented at the May 20 board meeting.
For the 2023-24 school year, teachers in DSISD started at a salary of $55,250. District officials are considering raising this to $55,500 for the 2024-25 school year, which will be decided by the board June 24 when they pass the fiscal year 2024-25 budget.
At a board meeting May 20, all district staff received a 1% pay increase based on each employee’s pay grade midpoint.
The district has made these pay increases, among others in the past few years, to be competitive with other districts in the area.
