Ten individuals have filed for a shot to fill three positions on the Dripping Springs ISD board of trustees during the upcoming May 1 general election.

Elections for three at-large positions—currently held by trustees Mary Jane Hetrick, Carrie Kroll and Shannon O'Connor—will appear on the May ballot. Hetrick and O'Connor will run to retain their places on the board, while Kroll did not file for re-election, according to the district, meaning at least one of those positions will be occupied by someone new in May.

The following candidates have filed to run in the election as of the Feb. 12 deadline. The top three vote getters May 1 will be elected to the board.
  • Jeffrey Aylstock
  • Thaddeus Fortenberry
  • Lynn Henson
  • Mary Jane Hetrick
  • Stephanie Holtzendorf
  • Max Hunsicker
  • Kay Kizziar
  • Shannon O'Connor
  • Tricia Quintero
  • Stefani Reinold
Early voting for the May 1 election will be held in Travis and Hays counties from April 19-27, with polling locations closed April 25 in Hays.

Trustees in Dripping Springs serve three-year terms, according to the district.
