Due to cold weather and potentially icy conditions, Dripping Springs ISD will delay the start of school on Feb. 12 by two hours.

According to a Feb. 11 announcement by the district, DSISD schools and the district's Child Development Center will operate on a two-hour delay, with bus pick-up and class start times pushed back two hours compared to a normal school day.

DSISD is one of many districts across Central Texas to either delay or cancel in-person classes due to weather. Austin ISD, Hays CISD and Round Rock ISD will hold all classes virtually on Feb. 12, while Eanes ISD campuses, offices and child development centers will be closed to accommodate inclement weather challenges.
