After a weekend that saw local businesses and restaurants reopen in-person services, Travis County reported 60 new coronavirus cases May 4.
According to Travis County and city of Austin public health officials, there have now been 1,816 confirmed cases in the county. That number makes up 5.55% of the 32,715 total cases in the state of Texas.
Travis County has also seen 53 deaths related to the coronavirus, while Texas has seen 899 total deaths.
Austin Public Health's most recent set of 391 coronavirus test results showed a 2.5% positive rate, showing a drop from the 9%-12% positivity rates seen in previous weeks.
