A day before Travis County restaurants and other businesses can chose to reopen at 25% capacity, the county saw 63 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus.

According to the daily update by Travis County and Austin health officials April 30, there have been 1,654 confirmed cases in the county since mid-March. Three new deaths reported April 30 brought that total to 47 overall.

The number of reported recoveries in Travis County also increased to 462, meaning an estimated 27.9% of individuals with cases have recovered, while active cases remain around 1,192.

After a April 29 vote by Central Health, Travis County’s health care district, Integral Care will receive up to $500,000 to help serve residents experiencing psychiatric care emergencies during the ongoing pandemic.

Travis County also announced April 30 that all nonessential court proceedings would be pushed to a date after June 1.
