EVO Entertainment Belterra Village expanded its entertainment offerings to include an IMAX theatre with laser and an arcade.

According to a press release, this is the first EVO venue to add IMAX with laser, which increases image resolution. The IMAX auditorium also offers next generation audio, which is 10 times the dynamic range of standard sounds systems.

The arcade features over 35 games, including Jurassic Park, See Ball, Kong VR and a Taj Mahal Claw Machine.

Vivek Abichandani, vice president of strategy and corporate development at Elevate Entertainment Group, said they are “thrilled” to expand the theater’s entertainment experience with the integration of IMAX’s technology.

"We are setting a new standard for cinematic excellence, and we can't wait for our guests to experience the magic of movies like never before and enjoy our expanded entertainment offering at Belterra,” Abichandani said in a press release.


The IMAX theatre officially opened Dec. 1.
